Reduced fee services may be available on a limited basis.
I do not accept insurance. However, many health insurance companies will provide coverage for "out of network" mental health treatment. I am happy to provide you with regular statements that contain information your insurance company may require. However, it will be your responsibility to complete insurance forms and obtain any reimbursement. It is very important that you find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers and the reimbursement amount as I do not contact your insurance company directly.
Asking your insurance carrier the following questions may be helpful:
- Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
- What is my deductible and has it been met?
- How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
- What is the coverage amount per therapy session?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Please make payment at the beginning of each session. Cash and checks are accepted. I do not accept credit cards.
If we have scheduled an appointment and you cancel within the week prior to it, I will attempt to find another time that week which works for both of us. If we cannot find another time you are responsible to pay for the session. If you cancel an appointment within 24 hours, or if you are a no-show for any reason, you are responsible for that fee and there will be no rescheduling. If you cancel an appointment with more than one week's notice, there is no charge.
If it becomes necessary for me to cancel an appointment with you with less than 24 hours notice you will not be charged for the session and your next session will be provided free of charge.
